GEORGE GOETSCHEL musician
Mike
Shreeman has been performing with Musical! the musical since its inception late last century at the Royal George Theater. As a SAG and AFTRA member for the last 15 years, he has performed in many different venues and thinks Mtm might be the perfect vehicle for his artistic aspirations. Mr. Shreeman started his career in his hometown of Detroit. There he got to hone his craft with mentors that ranged from Michael Shurtleff to Ronald McDonald. Really. He also discovered a passion he has for improvisation which inspired him to move to Chicago. Here he completed the training programs at Second City and ImprovOlympic and now tries to improvise as much as his schedule and creditors will allow. Mike also created Novel Ideas, an educational theater troupe that has improvised at schools across the Midwest for more than 10 years. In addition to Mtm, some other improvisational credits Mike is proud of include Brave New Workshop (Disney Cruise Line), Frank Booth (ImprovOlympic) and The Paisano Brothers (Carlucci Restaurant Group Spokesmen). He has also enjoyed playing "Corey" in Roasting Chestnuts (Noble Fool Theater), "Counselor Fred Gayley" in Miracle on 34th Street (national tour), "spokesman" for the Düsseldorf tourism bureau, a contented "shopper" in a Walgreens campaign and PGA West. Enjoy the show!
Marshall Stern Marshall Stern produced, directed, and performed in the Music City production of MUSICAL! the musical in Nashville, where he was also the Artistic Director of One Hand Clapping, an award winning improvisation troupe. A recent émigré to Chicago, Marshall has already distinguished himself as a teacher for Players Workshop and is soon to be named to an administrative position as well. In addition, he performed in the innovative "Awake In The Night" - the country’s first two-act improvised dramatic play which ran at the Playground in the fall of 2002. Marshall has also achieved critical acclaim in legitimate theater in such diverse roles as Madame Pernelle in Tartuffe and Sgt. Toomey in Biloxi Blues.
